On The Border of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Wales
Welcome to Lower House B & B. Our lovely, old farmhouse is hidden up a secluded country track just outside the hamlet of Adforton and is close to the borders of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Wales. It sits in an acre of tranquil gardens, nestled in the unspoilt countryside of the Wigmore Rolls and Shropshire Hills Area of Natural Beauty. A lovely, peaceful spot to relax and unwind.
Situated just outside the village of Leintwardine and close to Ludlow and Leominster, its location makes it a perfect base for walkers, cyclists, bikers, birdwatchers, foodies and anyone interested in the wonderful medieval towns, historical sites, castles and many other attractions in the area.
The farmhouse itself dates back to the 17th century, with some parts even older, and has character features such as inglenook fireplaces, latched doors and ancient beams. There are 3 lovely, well equipped guest rooms (two twins and one double room), all with private bathrooms, plus a separate cottage annex, which has a lounge with sofa bed, bathroom and twin bedroom upstairs. Breakfast is served in the beautiful dining room; the inglenook fireplace, log burner, wooden floor and beams give it a lovely, old-time ambience. In winter, guests can enjoy their delicious breakfast in front of a roaring log fire.
Lower House has been a B & B for over 30 years and has been run with great pride by The Edwards family since late 2020. We aim to ensure our guests have a happy, comfortable, memorable stay with well presented accommodation, a fabulous breakfast to start the day, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
